Štampar Winery is in St. Urban in Međimurje. It’s a family winery, run by the father-son team, Bojan and David. The two of them have improved the quality of the wines significantly in the past 20 years. Most of their wines are white, as it is a tradition in Međimurje. Local indigenous variety pušipel is a favorite but they also bottle graševina, zeleni silvanac, rhein riesling, chardonnay, pinot grigio, sauvignon and yellow moscatto.

An aromatic, light and lively wine. Light and pale greenish-yellow hue. The aroma is extremely rich and attractive. Beautiful aromas of gooseberry and lime are dominant, followed by somewhat milder tinges of green bell pepper and flowery tones such as gentle nuances of elderberry flower. The taste has a dry, seductive freshness, with very mild hints of residual unfermented sugar, gently accentuated acidity, medium to light body, cleanses the palate, lasts well. The aftertaste is in line with the wine’s aroma and taste, with its alluring sweetness, playful acidity and pleasant, slightly bitter finish.
